The Luftwaffe eagle is apparent being visible through the green paint. The spanner bolts all match in wear and finish. Later helmets were produced to Fallschirmjaeger specification. The helmet harness was more extensive than that of the normal helmet and the interior was padded. A helmet cover was commonly worn, usually in the same pattern of camouflage as the smock. The Fallschirmjaeger bandolier was made of cloth and worn around the neck. This is the M-36 helmet worn by some Heer and Luftwaffe Fallschirmjagers.These helmets had two reinforced slots on both sides,allowing the chin strap used as shown.Later replaced by the M-37 helmet that only had one unreinforced slot on either side.Only two examples of the M-36 are known to still exist.
